There is a special place in Slovenia that you must know about.
Check their website for more information:
“Today I could see that everyone was a bit tired. We are trying to smile, to stay awake and keep going but everyone needs a little rest. It has been non-stop. Going from one place to another all day. But it's ok because we are strong and we can do it.”
“Today we went to a permaculture farm but, since everywhere was covered in snow we didn't get to really work on the farm.
The reception was great, with a taste of the local home-made and ecological liquors and flavoured waters. After the tasting, we had a presentation where they explained to us what they did; in short, everything they produce is ecological, and, given that they cannot produce all the products themselves, they have partnered with other ecological farmers in the area to exchange produce, which means that all the food they produce and all the goods they sell are ecological.
After that, we had another tasting, this time of wine, some cheeses and hams, and then we got to help a little bit by clearing the snow from the main paths. We then took a walk in the surroundings which, all covered in snow (like our usual landscape these last few weeks) were beautiful; I think they must be even more beautiful in Spring or Summer when they are green.
In the evening, we went for dinner in an Arabic restaurant and then to a party that was held in the Epeka association.”
