“As usual, after an early breakfast we met Bo and headed to the garden where he started to talk about compost. He guided us through different parts of the property showing us the different ways they make their compost. At the end of the tour we could get our hands dirty working on our own pile of compost.
In the afternoon we came back to class for the theoretical part of the course.”
“We’re getting more and more profound information about permaculture everyday here. Surprisingly for me, there are plenty of ways to make money from your garden. Today, we had hands on work turning rice peel into charcoal. We also learned different composting techniques. This site is amazing in every respect - knowledge, people, food, atmosphere.”
“Today we going to pick our compost! Well, first we need to mix the ashes of all the things that we burned. Also, Bo (the owner of the school) explained the different types of compost and how to use them properly.
Also, I met Ghan-Ghan, a kid of 2 years old that is all the time playing in the soil, jumping, falling, running and all without shoes... He reminds me a lot of myself when I was a kid and I would be doing the same in my village and on the beach, but I was not Asian, obviously...
Guess what!? Today I'm cooking! Amazing! With Flor and the mother of Ghan-Ghan we are preparing a delicious Thai dish based on a kind of omelete of vegetables fries... Everything grown on the farm!!!”
