“Despite the grey sky, we left the hostel with Martina, our guide for the day. We went to La Sagrada Familia, the spectacular cathedral conceived by Gaudí. It's been under construction for more than 100 years and it will take probably ten more to finish it.
Unfortunately, the rain didn't allow us to walk much, so we had to end the tour early and have lunch in a traditional Basque restaurant.”
“I’ve been to this city many times, and I’ve never seen such bad weather as we saw this day. It's a pity, because Martina wanted to show us very nice places in Barcelona. We walked around La Sagrada Familia and came down to the Borne, the perfect area to eat a few "tapas".
Martina is one of us. What I mean by this, is that she was with us and many more people in the selection process but unfortunately she didn’t pass and couldn’t be part of this year’s lucky 12. Definitely, I will try again this year, she said.“
“I have spent some hours with the 12 lucky participants and I really enjoyed the time spent together!! It was a cloudy day in Barcelona when we walked around the city, but we could take a walk close to Passeig de Gracia, Sagrada Familia and we went to the Born district where we stopped to eat some typical food. Everyone of them is really nice and friendly and I really enjoyed talking for a while with each of them.
I wish them an amazing year around the world!! ;)”
